Helga Grollo (Stuttgart 1965) holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Since 2014 she explores the interaction of the plastic language and the language of words, from which a metalanguage emerges and in turn, gradually relates to others as signs, symbols, etc.
In her works, she uses a variety of techniques such as painting on canvas, wood plate or paper, collage with carefully chosen and reviewed textiles, paint stains of letters on overlapping papers, new and used acetate insoles, staples, rips ...
Helga Grollo reorders with patience and decision that which was previously decomposed, offering a new personal message which interest lies in the tension generated between the word, the colour and its appearance; the composition and arrangement of her letters.
