booth C24
Persons Projects is delighted to inform you about our participation at Paris Photo 2022! We will present a wide selection of new works by artists from the Helsinki School that focus on nature, time, and abstraction. These artists use photography as a tool for artistic expression, focusing on what occurs in front of, behind, and even inside the camera. Amongst them, we will present works from Tiina Itkonen's 30-year documentation of the irreversible effects of climate change to Greenland's Inuit community, as well as Sandra Kantanen's newest ecology-focused works on the destruction of the landscape. We will also show Mikko Rikala's Francesca Woodman series, inspired by the works of the late photographer. Alongside the Helsinki School artists, for the first time at Paris Photo we will be exhibiting the performance based artist Katarzyna Kozyra, who is dedicated to the centering of the female position in her art. Moreover, we will be presenting analog photographs from the 1980s by the US-American LA-based artist Grey Crawford and black & white, multiple exposure photographs by Polish artist Zofia Kulik.
We will present works by:
Grey Crawford Joakim Eskildsen Tiina Itkonen Sanna Kannisto Sandra Kantanen Eeva Karhu Katarzyna Kozyra Zofia Kulik Milja Laurila Niko Luoma Arno Minkkinen Jussi Nahkuri Jorma Puranen Mikko Rikala Santeri Tuori
