Gerhard Richter’s spellbinding ‘Abstraktes Bild’ (‘Abstract Painting’) encapsulates his seminal contribution to non-figurative art. Created in 1987 using his signature squeegee technique, the work’s layered veils of color and texture capture a pivotal moment in the artist’s lifelong reinvention of abstraction.
The painting will be presented at our Art Basel Paris booth. |
