We are delighted to return to the fair with a special solo presentation by Aida Tomescu, one of Australia's foremost abstract painters. The exhibition centres on Tomescu's most recent high-energy triptych Folded in Three, alongside three pivotal paintings from over a decade. The selection emphasises the internal dialogue within each work, while drawing parallels between paintings from different time periods.
"For Tomescu the idea of experience is more pertinent to her ways of working than a purely practical idea of 'process'. ...She begins with a multiplicity of materials and over the years has always enjoyed the excitement of trying something new as a series of work opens up.
