THE FOURTH WALL: SYNTHESIS OF THE ARTS
The section The Fourth Wall, curated by Fiona Liewehr, is inspired by the idea of a synthesis of the arts. The fourth wall is commonly the name of the imagined side of a classic proscenium stage, the one which is open to the audience. Inspired by the innovative architecture of the fair, the idea arose to dedicate this section to multidisciplinary artists who work at the crossroads of fine and applied arts, architecture, theatre, furniture design or fashion. They will create environments that incorporate all elements of the fair's architecture and break the fourth wall by inviting visitors to enter the space as players, as art and life become one.
