Ten Haaf Projects is pleased to exhibit works by Peer Vink at VOLTA Basel 2019. The Dutch-born artist and recent art academy graduate will construct a site-specific installation.
Peer Vink presents his work as a visual explosion. Similar to an aggressive advertisement, the display method is right in your face and over the top. While his work as a whole Gesamtkunstwerk can resemble a volcanic eruption, his individual works are all aesthetic and poetic. Often telling a story about his experiences and observations, they feature abstract and figurative elements. The artist believes in the importance in art being visual rather than just conceptual. At VOLTA, we exhibit recent works on canvas together with large sculptures constructed out of wood. Peer Vink was born in 1990 and graduated in 2018 from the art academy Sint Joost in Den Bosch.
