We present a bold selection of works by three artists whose divergent processes and life paths exemplify the dynamic character of our program, and mark three milestones in the Gallery's journey. We stand in awe at Gail Stoicheff's four large paintings seeped in mythology, fringe and light. Gail was part of Catinca's first major curatorial project in 2010, and our paths have since been intertwined. We get close to Greg Haberny's small porcelain creatures, amazed at the ability of an artist whose "go big or go home" motto is here replaced by patience and focus as he molds fickle porcelain. Greg joined the Gallery the day we opened our first brick and mortar space on the LES of Manhattan in 2014. Lastly, don't trust Terrence Musekiwa's golf-clubs-cum-snakes as they try to decide whether to strike or hide in the face of Zimbabwe's contested 2018 elections ... a feeling not foreign to the US today. Terrence came to us on day one of our now 4-year-long residency and exhibition project in Zimbabwe.
