Stand E3
“Powerline” can be understood as a group of distant comments about the artist's mark and the inherent elements of gestures. It is nevertheless true that in these works of art and artistic installations what we can really glimpse is the call into question of the old romantic idea about creative freedom. The artist refers to the factors that determine and direct every creator nowadays. The so-called independence to act and produce.
This work leads us to a world full of references to the most basic pictorial language elements. In this genre the predominance of productive and procedural strategies in the broadest sense of the word is the norm. We can observe how the cold and inexpressive air of industrial appearance, like a restocked product in a mall, exists side by side with domestic DIY, something thrown in, a broad brush approach. They can be found in the held up gestures full of doubt and sarcasm. As a result, these generate situations and paradoxes where objects or assemblies without forcing or resorting to grandiloquent rethoric create conceptual optics full of references, dialogues and gestures to the audience who is in turn invited to decipher the comment behind its unchanging appearance, it is important to bear in mind that it is not exempt from notable doses of humour, irony and lyricism.
