Hirschl & Adler Modern is pleased to participate in Art Basel Miami Beach!
2020 marks the premiere of ‘OVR: Miami Beach’, a new iteration of Art Basel's Online Viewing Rooms that will feature 255 galleries accepted to the 2020 edition of the show. Hirschl & Adler's presentation, 'Of the People,' is an exploration of figurative artists who, over the past century, have grappled with the human condition in all its multi-faceted depth and complexity. Themes like religion, politics, sexuality, identity, war and peace, wealth and poverty take center stage here, accompanied by joy, hope, fear, loss, anxiety and the universal human traits so familiar to us all.
Each of these works are bound by their humanity. And so are we bound to them. We seem to recognize ourselves in these paintings 'of the people.' While the times may have changed, the intricacies of being human have not.
