The only international photo fair in Central and Eastern Europe is the onsite satellite fair of ART MARKET BUDAPEST dedicated entirely to the art of photography. ART MARKET Budapest has been dedicating an entire exhibition hall to the art of photography since 2014: ART PHOTO BUDAPEST has gained reputation and recognition as the only international photo fair in the Central and Eastern European region, and is presented as the onsite satellite photography fair of ART MARKET BUDAPEST to its progressively growing international audience. BUDAPEST is perfectly designed to host ART PHOTO BUDAPEST as one of Europe’s outstanding international photo events, for Hungary has a special relationship with photography. Building on the heritage of László Moholy-Nagy, André Kertész, Robert Capa and other 20th century classics, Budapest strives with good reason and outstanding characteristics for a central role in international photography insured not just by its photographic traditions but a fast developing institutional and educational system that supports and is home to a new generation of award-winning young artists.
